Day 4
The fourth day was a tough 19 mile stretch from Bridge of Orchy to Kinlochleven. The first part was quite steep and the ground quite wet and slippy. Andy had a bad fall on the way down and
he was not a happy camper after this! Especially as it started to rain heavy again!! We had our lunch at the Kingshouse Hotel in Glencoe. The scenery was spectacular. Then it was time to tackle the famous "Devil's Staircase". By the end of this Sarah was exhausted! The walk down into Kinlochleven was quite easy after that and went past the hydro-electric falls. We went to a chip shop that evening and stuffed our faces! The rooms in the Blackwater Hostel were very good - en-suite and with TV!

Day5
The final day was a 14 mile walk into Glen Nevis. It started with a fairly long and steep climb but slowly flattened into a valley walk through the Mamores. We stopped at the youth hostel before walking the final few miles to take us to the end of the walk.

Day 6
The final day was a clamber up the highest mountain in Britain - Ben Nevis. The weather at this point was very pleasant and we were all looking forward to the challenge ahead. It was great only to have to carry light packs! The path on the way up was teasing and tormenting. We kept thinking we were at the top when we were actually nowhere near it! As we walked into the clouds it became quite misty. Even though it was June, there was still a fair bit of snow to plough through near the top! Eventually we reached the
summit. It was very cold at this height so we quickly changed into our Anthony Nolan t-shirts for the pose at the very top - we had completed the challenge and raised £1100 for the Anthony Nolan Trust!
