Once again the Seniors of Cunningham House have had to sacrifice valuable 'revision time' to produce a small article for The Victorian this year. So, with the computer games and videos safely out of reach of Paul's hands for now, we'll try to cover this year's events in a few words.
Well, where do we start? First of all, we would like to show our gratitude to Kris and Jamie, last year's Seniors, for showing us how NOT to run a House and, in turn, making us look good!
The House has run smoothly enough this year with the addition of three new Fifth year boys to the House Seniors. Stephen 'Tumbleweed' Carter (with his very 'unique' sense of humour), Michael 'no you hang up' Gibb (whose phone has had to be surgically removed from his ear...twice) and John 'JC - School Prefect' Campbell (who is to be held responsible should I'aul and Kris fail their Highers as he has, relentlessly, supplied them with videos and encouraged them to waste their study periods).
This has been another fairly interesting year for Cunningham House. The fact that the House has been on two floors for the second year running now has made controlling it difficult, at times, but the House Staff and Prefects have managed to do a good job.
Also, this academic year saw the end of the 'Cunningham Alton Towers Trip' in the summer term as the boys in the House opted for a range of smaller trips throughout the year instead. Mr Tomkins has kindly obliged and the boys have enjoyed numerous trips to the cinema as well as the occasional disco where they get to shake the dance floor and impress the ladies

(especially Kris and Paul who have been known to bust some pretty funky moves...we rule!!). Now, as the year draws to an end, Cunningham House can look forward to the function that has been organised for the end of term with anticipation - nobody actually knows what it is yet but it's bound to be a memorable way to end the year.
Finally, we would just like to thank everyone in the House Team for helping to make our last year at QVS such an easy and enjoyable one. In particular, we would like to thank Mr &c Mrs Tomkins, Mr Ross, Mr Duthie (especially for his in-depth tutor periods), Mrs McVey, Mrs Graham and Mr Hope ''The Gapper'.
On a final note we would just like to say that, although we'll both be living it up in the Southern Hemisphere next year, we'll still take the time and effort to send you a postcard.
All the best to everyone at QVS. Have a good one. Kris Reid & Paul Tyson
