This has been a busy year in that the Staff endured a gruelling week in Feb. just before the restrictions on training bit so deeply into our planned Training Programme, when together with Instructors of the Scottish Cadet Training Teams and ACF Officers they completed their Alpine Ski Leaders Course at the Cairngorms near Aviemore. As the Administrator of that Course (ably assisted by Mr Duthie) which itself was the brainchild of our own Lt Graham Borking but organised and funded by G2 Cadets, Major John Patchett of HQ 2 Div., Dougie and I can both testify to

their enduring spirit and skiing ability that led to five from QVS qualifying. Well done!
Even as I write (at Easter 2001) we have members of the RAF section away at Camp in Cyprus with Pit Officer Christine Sheerin and two Cadets in South Africa with the British Schools Shooting Team. Last summer was also a memorable year for foreign visits with Amy Morton going to the White Horse Cadet Camp in Yukon, Canada, and Chloe Johnston going to RAF Bruggen in Germany. Army Section This year, training was carried out to a high standard with a very sound team of NCOs who undertook the day to day training of their respective sections. The input of the senior NCOs has also been superb. The summer term (2000) had the usual Infantry exercise at Barry Budden and this went extremely well,
