SQUASH REPORT
This year the squash courts were used more often than in any of the years gone by. The Masters/Boys ladder actually got going, subsequently there was a great deal of movement on it especially at the top where five players were constantly fighting for the Pole position, presently held by S. Dalziel. During the year a combined Masters and Boys Team entered a regional league. This enabled them to meet different opposition and use different courts. The activity of this league was curbed by the power crisis during which we were not allowed to use the courts because of the expensive lighting. A team of Boys along with Mr. Paterson, travelled to Edinburgh to compete in the Scottish Schools Squash Competition, which was sponsored by the Royal Bank. During the competition, which spanned over three days, the team S. Dalziel, R. Knox and V. Parker, played against top players from other Scottish schools.

Next year, without a power crisis, the possibility for squash both within and without the school are enormous. S,l
CRICKET
To date we have had one set of matches again Trinity College, Glenalmond. The matching of 01 sides by Mr. A. James, Master i/c Cricket, Glenalmond was excellent. Each match was contested to the last over. QV 1st and 2nd Year won, and the 3rd Year lost. One match against Moray H.S. 2nd Year had to be cancelled due to rain, but the 1stYear match against the same school played mid-week ended in a victory for QVS. With Grand Day being moved to June and End of Term coinciding most of our fixtures are now crammed into fortnight before Grand Day, so will have to report results in the 1975 Magazine
ATHLETICS
