end of the term. The hard work and interest that they have shown during their stay is much appreciated by all of us. Captain N. J. O. King has joined us to replace Captain Bull and we extend a very warm welcome to him. The term is, however, not over yet and we have the usual outings and hikes to look forward to. Twenty-eight boys will be going to camp at Avie-more for the first ten days of the Summer holiday and with their return and despatch home another year will have been completed.

Clubs and Societies
SAILING CLUB The Sailing Club started up again this term under Captain King, one of the new masters, and we had a new intake of the younger boys who all seem eager enough. We still hold membership at Loch Ard Sailing Club and sail at Loch Ard most Thursdays and sometimes over the weekend. The weather has been reasonable and about half the Club have been out for at least one trip. All three boats can be taken out with Captain King helmsman in one, and the other two are taken out by the boy helmsmen I. Crawford and T. Nicol. So far nobody has capsized but there have been a few close calls and everybody has been taught what to do if it does happen. We are hoping to get the people who have not yet sailed out before the end of term and also we help in clearing the ground for the Loch Ard Sailing Club to build on. Next term the maintenance of the boats starts and that soon sorts out the lazy people. T. Nicol, I. Crawford.
POTTERY CLUB This year the Pottery Club was again under the supervision of Judy Le Maistre (Lecturer, Glasgow School of Art). Only 12 people were allowed in the Club since any more would not get sufficient teaching to be of any advantage. A large ceramic wall plaque was made by five members of the Club - Although ambitious, the plaque was completely successful and should be appearing on a School wall very soon. There was no lack of enthusiasm and a large amount of pottery was produced of a good standard, although there was an acute lack of glazes. For a better appreciation of the work produced this year do not miss the Art and Craft Exhibition !
